Learner Network Check

Mindsmith loads lessons live from Mindsmith's servers. This page checks the required Mindsmith services, both asset hosts, a recommended video streaming service, and services contacted only when an author adds the corresponding feature to a lesson. Learner traffic is outbound-only over standard HTTPS (port 443), with secure WebSockets (wss://) on the same port. No inbound connections are required.

Your network must allow the services your organization currently uses and the first-party content domain.

Recommended

Not required. If this check fails, videos that stream from Cloudflare play from the Mindsmith content domain instead. Allowing it now avoids another allowlist change if Mindsmith streams more video from it later.

Only if your lessons use them

Mindsmith contacts these services only when a lesson includes the matching content. A failed check affects only the lessons that use it.

Content verified means the asset host returned the expected test file. Playback verified means a short sample video played. Playback unverified means browser support or restrictions prevented the test. Response received means a third-party server or network proxy answered, but its response could not be fully verified. Connection failed does not identify the cause. These checks do not test your LMS or every media request.
